The consultation scheduler is planned as a more context-aware scheduling layer for advisory and support sessions. Where appointment booking provides the basic mechanics of selecting available time, the consultation scheduler goes further: it preserves the operational context that triggered the consultation request, so the advisory session starts with the relevant background already attached.
Generic calendar tools can book a meeting. What they cannot do is connect that meeting to the specific compliance issue, fiscal question, or service request that made it necessary. When a user requests a consultation through VillaTax, the session is not happening in a vacuum. It is happening because:

This is not a live self-service feature yet. Consultation scheduling currently happens through direct contact and the services module at Services module. The consultation scheduler as a structured in-product workflow is a planned feature that will be released as the service delivery layer matures.
