Appointment Booking

A planned scheduling flow for consultations and service appointments requested directly from the VillaTax experience.

Overview

Appointment booking is planned as a structured way for VillaTax users to request and confirm consultation time without relying on separate email coordination or manual back-and-forth. The feature is intended for service-oriented workflows such as advisory calls, setup discussions, and guided support sessions that users request from within the product.

The Problem With Manual Scheduling

Once software and advisor workflows start to overlap (a user requests a compliance audit, wants guidance on fiscal setup, or needs support before a filing deadline) there is a scheduling step involved. Currently, that step happens outside the product. A message is sent, a time is proposed, a calendar invitation is eventually created.

That process works at low volume. It does not scale cleanly when multiple users are making requests, when consultations are tied to specific service requests with their own context, or when VillaTax wants to give users a more professional experience around service delivery.

Intended Scope

When released, the appointment booking feature is planned to give users a cleaner path to:

  • Request a consultation or advisory session from within the dashboard, linked to the relevant organization or service context
  • Choose from available time windows without requiring manual back-and-forth
  • Receive confirmation with the relevant context about what the session will cover
  • Keep the scheduled session connected to the service request or workflow that triggered it

The feature is oriented toward scheduled advisory and support sessions, not toward recurring operational tasks. It complements the services module and the consultation scheduler, providing the time-selection workflow that makes those service requests actionable.

Current Status

This feature is not yet live. For now, consultation and support requests should be handled through the services module at Services module or through direct contact. Appointment scheduling as a self-serve in-product flow is a planned addition as the service delivery layer matures.
