The partner program is open to any professional or community with access to the Bali villa and property market. Typical profiles include influencers and content creators with real estate or expat audiences, real estate agencies selling or managing villas in Bali and Indonesia, Indonesian tax consultants and accountants advising villa owners on PBJT and PPh, lawyers specializing in PT PMA structuring, KITAS renewals, and property law, business consultants offering relocation or investment services, and business introducers with direct connections to foreign villa owners. There is no minimum audience size, client base, or prior revenue required to apply. Registration is free and the approval process is straightforward. If you already use VillaTax as a villa owner or agency, you do not need to apply separately, the referral program is directly accessible from your existing dashboard under the Referrals section.

Commissions are calculated as a percentage of the net monthly subscription price of the plan your referral subscribes to: 15% on the Basic plan ($49/month), 20% on the Pro plan ($99/month), and 25% on the Business plan ($299/month). The commission applies to the base plan price. Each month that the referred client remains subscribed, you earn the same commission; there is no expiry date and no cap on total earnings per client. Commissions follow a lifecycle: they are first recorded as Pending when a subscription is confirmed, then validated as Payable after a 30-day cooling period to account for potential refunds, and finally processed as Paid during the monthly payout cycle. If a referred client upgrades to a higher plan, your commission increases proportionally from the date of upgrade. Downgrades reduce the commission amount accordingly.

Payouts are processed monthly, in the first week of each month, for all commissions that reached Payable status during the previous month. To be included in a payout cycle, your available balance must reach the minimum threshold of IDR 500,000 or approximately USD 30. If your balance is below the threshold, it carries forward automatically to the next cycle — commissions are never forfeited. Payment methods currently supported include direct bank transfer to an Indonesian or international account, Indonesian e-wallets (OVO, GoPay, DANA), and VillaTax subscription credit, which can be applied to your own subscription if you are also a client. You configure your payout method in the partner dashboard under the Payout Method section. For Indonesian tax compliance, commissions above the applicable threshold may be subject to PPh 23 income withholding, which is handled and documented transparently in your dashboard.

If you are already subscribed to VillaTax as a villa owner or property agency, you have immediate access to the referral program — no separate application, no additional account, and no approval process. Navigate to your dashboard and open the Referrals section from the left navigation menu. From there you can generate referral links with custom labels, track clicks and conversions per link, view your commission pipeline (Pending, Payable, Paid), manage your preferred payout method, and monitor your accumulated subscription credit. Your referral links are tied to your existing user account. The commission structure is identical to the external partner program: 15% on Basic, 20% on Pro, 25% on Business, recurring for the lifetime of the referred subscription. If you want to operate under a separate business identity or at higher volume, you can also create an independent external partner account through the partner portal.

There is no sales quota, no minimum number of referrals required, and no time pressure of any kind. You earn a commission on every successful referral, whether it is your first or your hundredth. There is no penalty for low activity periods — your referral links remain active indefinitely, your accumulated commissions are never forfeited, and no inactivity threshold causes your account to be suspended. Partners who share a single link once and never return still receive recurring commissions on all active subscriptions generated by that link, for as long as those clients remain subscribed. There is also no exclusivity requirement — you can recommend VillaTax alongside any other products or services without restriction. The only action required to start earning is generating at least one referral link in the partner dashboard, which takes under a minute.
