Admin Oversight

Overview

Admin oversight is planned as a management layer for workspace administrators who need visibility into how work is being performed across a multi-user VillaTax account. The feature is not about restricting team members. It is about giving leaders and senior admins a clearer operational picture without having to ask each collaborator what they have done.

The Problem It Addresses

As teams grow and more collaborators work inside a shared account, the account administrator often loses direct visibility into day-to-day operational actions. Important questions become harder to answer:

• Who updated a fiscal record before a review meeting?
• Has the compliance follow-through for this period actually been completed, or just started?
• Which team member handled the last document upload for this organization?
• Was the monthly payroll declaration marked as done, and by whom?

Without an oversight layer, answering these questions requires chasing people or comparing timestamps manually. Admin oversight is intended to surface that information cleanly, without creating friction for the team doing the work.

Intended Scope

When released, the module is expected to focus on:

• Action visibility: a summary of recent meaningful actions across the workspace, organized by team member and time period
• Admin review of sensitive changes: particular attention to modifications of fiscal data, compliance records, and organization settings
• Role-appropriate access: the oversight view should be available to workspace administrators, not to all team members
• Better traceability for multi-user workspaces: enough context for an admin to understand what happened without requiring a full audit-trail reconstruction

This is an operational governance layer, not a punitive monitoring tool.

Relationship to Other Planned Features

Admin oversight is related to employee activity logs and the internal audit trail. Together, those three roadmap features form the traceability layer of VillaTax's multi-user workspace. Each addresses a slightly different audience and use case, operational logging, administrator review, and formal audit-defense respectively.

Current Status

This feature is not yet publicly available. It should be treated as roadmap-only until a stable dashboard workflow is released.
