Portfolio View

Review a multi-property or multi-entity portfolio through a single operating lens for comparison, attention routing, and consolidated visibility.

Overview

The portfolio view at Portfolio overview is built for users who need to think across multiple properties or organizations at the same time. Once a property operation grows beyond a single villa, the challenge stops being "how do I manage this one property" and starts being "how do I stay on top of five at once?"

A portfolio view exists to answer that question. Instead of opening each organization or property individually, users get a consolidated operating surface where comparison, attention routing, and performance visibility are the primary outputs.

Who It Is For

The portfolio view becomes meaningful once you have at least two properties or two organizations in VillaTax. It is particularly useful for:

  • Property investors who own villas across different kabupaten or different legal structures
  • Property managers overseeing a portfolio on behalf of multiple owners
  • Accountants who need a cross-entity overview before diving into individual organization records
  • Operators who want to compare booking activity, compliance status, or cost burden across multiple assets at the same time

A user managing one villa under one entity will not get much value here. Everyone else will.

What the Portfolio View Shows

The portfolio surface brings together the data already stored in individual organization and property records to give a broader operating picture:

  • Active organizations and their properties, visible together
  • Booking activity across the portfolio for the selected period
  • Compliance status and risk signals per organization
  • Revenue and operating summary by property
  • Outstanding obligations or alerts that need attention

The specific data visible depends on what has been configured and maintained in the individual organization modules. The portfolio view does not create new data; it reads from the same records used everywhere else.

Why Consolidated Visibility Matters

Property portfolios have a structural problem: important signals disappear into individual module views. A compliance gap in one organization, a low-performing property in another, and an outstanding LKPM deadline in a third are each easy to catch when focused. But when you are managing five or ten assets, they become easy to miss if every check requires opening a separate workspace.

The portfolio view solves this by making it possible to spot:

  • which organizations have compliance gaps or overdue obligations
  • which properties are driving the most booking revenue
  • where the attention is most needed before a filing deadline
  • which assets are performing below expectations relative to others

That kind of cross-asset scan is hard to do from individual module views.

Relationship to Other Modules

The portfolio view is a read-only aggregation layer. It does not replace any individual module. When a portfolio item needs action, the path is always: notice in the portfolio → navigate to the specific organization's compliance, bookings, or tax module → take action there.

Key connections:

  • Organizations: the portfolio reads from the same entity records configured there
  • Compliance: compliance status and overdue obligations per organization feed the portfolio risk signals
  • Analytics: revenue data by property and organization is sourced from the analytics layer
  • Properties: individual property metrics feed into the portfolio property comparison

Accountant Use Case

For accountants managing multiple client organizations in VillaTax, the portfolio view is the fastest way to prioritize. Instead of checking each client's compliance dashboard individually, the portfolio surfaces which clients have pending obligations, which are at risk, and which are in good standing.

This makes client review faster and reduces the chance of missing a filing deadline across a large book of work.

Multi-Organization Export

The Export module page complements the portfolio view: it can generate an account-wide ZIP export or per-organization exports. After reviewing the portfolio for what needs attention, the export becomes the handoff tool for accountant collaboration or filing preparation.

Limits

The portfolio view is only as complete as the data behind it. Organizations that have not had their fiscal setup configured, properties without booking history, or compliance modules that have not been maintained will appear as incomplete or low-risk, not because they are, but because the source data is absent.

The portfolio is a consolidation layer, not a substitute for maintaining individual organization records properly. Clean data in equals useful portfolio view out.

Getting Started

Open Portfolio overview once you have multiple organizations or properties active in VillaTax. The view becomes more useful as booking history accumulates, compliance records are maintained, and fiscal setups are completed per organization. Review it regularly before filing periods to make sure nothing has been missed across the portfolio.
